Male Russian tortoise for sale, rescued. Can't take him bc I have one male already and no room for him. Pretty healthy but still working on him. Seems a tad dehydrated and his diet was off.

Tortoise. It isn't a bad smell, it's just different. I'm not sure how to describe it!!

I soak my tortoise daily, and he has his own pool, but he is starting to get a bad smell and I don't know if there's any soap I can use to "give him a bath" with, to get the smell to go away. Any suggestions?

Well, whenever I got him, he hadn't been in the typical conditions for a Russian. Fed mainly lettuce and no UVB OR UVA. I think that may have something to do with it. He is atleast 5, and his length is only 3.5 inches. I removed his water yesterday because I was told the bowl was hazardous ...

Something that bothers me is seeing other Russian torts younger than mine growing at a faster rate. I don't notice my tort growing too often, and he is pretty small for his age. I do the calcium supplements and he is out in the sun most of the time. How else could I help his growing rate?

Thanks!! I am looking for a spider plant and can't seem to find one. That's my next investment though! And the water is actually like a pool and I've sunk it into the substrate with dirt around it. He seems to be able to get in and out pretty easily. But will do!!

Also will be making a humid hide box for him after I expand.
