I'm sure many others have experienced this exact same thing with their own sulcata, but as a first time sulcata owner I fully D it rather enjoyable to watch and see squirt dig and semi bury him/herself in the moist coco core substrate I have set up.
It's fun for me too. I used to live on a sustainable garden community on Hawaii, so gardening, well, planting seeds and watching them grow then get eaten is kinda meditative for me.

Ive noticed my baby sulcata doing the same, except he is obviously in a smaller contfolled environment. But be pace along the side of his encloser that is against the wall, so he doesnt really have anything to look at or tease him or her. So I suppose im asking the sae question
