My girlfriend and I have had our Sulcata tortoise Murderface (yes that's his name) for over a year now. We try to hand feed him to help make him more sociable but he hides in his shell.
Is there any other methods we can try to help make him more sociable?
This morning I was cleaning Murderface's (my sulcata) water bowl and I found very little insects jumping around. Could those me mites? Should I just replace all of his bedding?
Could this be from the moisture under his waterbowl?
