Hey so I bought my tortoise an indoor wooden enclosure and placed the heating mat on the bottom because at night it gets a little cold and recently I found out that it melt the plastic on the bottom so I took the mat out any ideas of how I can keep my little guy warm at night?

So I just built my 5 month old tortoise a new tortoise table and it’s made out of wood so I was wondering since it’s an open top and not getting to warm if I should get a heating pad and what kind and if it would be safe to put it on the wood. Please Help!
