This is a proven trio of 1.2 huge Gulf Coast Box turtles (Terrapene carolina major). They have jet black carapaces with contrasting yellow flecks and dark chocolate colored skin. The male has a beautiful yellow and white beak with hints of blue. He is a true monster at 9". He's the biggest one I've had in my hands yet. The females are 6 3/4" and 7". Some of the biggest, "text-book" looking gulfs around.
They devour strawberries, superworms, earthworms and ground turkey meat. The females are thick and heavy and a surprising amount of breeding has been going on the last 3 weeks with them.
