Hello! I have had my tiny Horsfield tortoise, Spike, for just over one week now and I'm madly in love already! My family spent a long time considering the right pet for our life and it was my son who suggested a tortoise because of his love for Ninja Turtles! We did a lot of research and chose our little buddy after we'd set up a tortoise table for 'him'. The vet thinks it maybe a boy but time will tell. Spike measures just 6cm currently and weighs only 50g but he's healthy and enjoying watercress, clover, rocket and the odd bit of courgette. Hasn't attempted any of the flowers I've given him yet and gave me a fright on Thursday when I caught him eating a little pebble! It did make its way out but it's thanks to forums like these that I have already found reassurance, advice and more knowledge than I knew possible! Thank you!
