A Question about grass cuttings

Our tortoise has a large outside run with a variety of plants growing and a stone barn area for shade and cool. A friend suggested putting grass cuttings in for her to burrow in, which I did and she seems to love it. I just wanted to check if that is OK and if I can just leave them or should I change them from time to time? Thanks for your help :)

It's fine as long as you watch the temp in there, decomposing matter can generate a lot of heat. turning it often should alleviate that.

Well you really have to be careful with grass cuttings... if you have it on your lawn... just make sure your parents dont use ANY chemicals on them. If so, dont use it =) We dont want your tort going to the vet for missing minor details like this. ^_^

I put all my clippings into the pens with no issues. I like to spread them out a little but leave a few small piles for them to dig into. :)

What species?

I feed my clippings to my sulcatas and SA leopards, but I wouldn't leave a pile for burrowing. The clippings can get moldy pretty quick.
