I am wanting to adopt a tortoise( for free but it will have a loving family and a big outdoor enclosure) does anybody know where u can adopt one or does anybody have a tortoise they can't take care off. I live in Texas

I would first check local rescues, both private and state run, you can always check craigs list, or place an ad on craigs list, willing to take in unwanted ones, be warned you might get a lot of sulcatas offered.

I have checked and sulcata wouldn't be a problem

Just FYI most of the people here usually don't come here looking for homes, most of them have a tort that they want to know how to take better care of.
