* Ours eat at will on natural grass, weeds, cactus, and a small amount of misc. quality lettuce/greens. They roam at will with full sun exposure for thermal regulation and ample exercise. We often see them drinking and they seem to relish the sprinklers that come on each day. We see a very consistent growth rate throughout the year on this type of feeding program. What we have noticed is when our hatchlings are removed from this type of environment they tend to grow faster, inconsistent growth lines, and do not maintain a smooth shell growth. They usually have less exercise, fed a richer diet, and usually are under artificial lighting.
