Always changing tortoise table

Hello,
I am new to this community and wanted to share my tortoise table. It was built about 3 months ago from a different table I had made from what I had available. The tortoise in it is named Frank and I think has really enjoyed the new table. There was a thread on here someone posted regarding using a humidifier and plumbing it into the tank. It has a plexi roof to hold in the humidity from the rainy parts of the day when it kicks on. Now for the photos I have of the enclosure it has a combination of plain top soil mixed with coconut fiber to hold in some humidity as well.

welcome welcome welcome nice enclosure but clamping the lamp isn't the safest thing to do and it can cut back on the life of the light bulb being at a angle any chance you could hang it pointing straight down?

Unfortunately I have nothing that i can hang it from, I was thinking about changing the bulb from the basking that's in there to a ceramic one I have as well. Maybe I will do that and monitor the temps and see how it does.

I worry that the table isn't warm enough. What are the different temperatures all over the floor of the habitat? If your baby gets too cool while being misted, he may get sick.

Directly in the basking it ranges 90-100 and on the far side its down around 70-80. The ambient temperature in my apartment is usually between 70-80 on its own.
