Our kodak printer has been displaying a message saying our printer head is loose or missing. We uninstall it, ten reinstall it but it doesn't work. It started doing this in the late summer. Does anyone know what we could do? We called kodak, but they said we have to buy a new one, and we can't right now. But I really need to make some food chart copies. I'm attaching pictures of anyone has a clue on what could be wrong. ImageUploadedByTortForum1382481013.660294.jpg

I think it's the two bottom black splotches melted and are creating a gap between these: ImageUploadedByTortForum1382481170.155349.jpg
Any suggestions would be great

I had a similiar issue with our HP, I took the head off, cleaned the head and the receiving area with a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol and it was gooped up with ink, more than likely from an ink cartridge I bought which was a refill. Won't be using refills again. The printer is still working great after the cleaning. Your pics aren't showing well on my computer, but I'm thinking that may be the black splotches that you see are ink. See if they clean of with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.
