Are my Hermanns Tortoise claws too long?

Hi there, I have had my Hermanns Tortoise for just over a week now and I am worried that his claws are too long?

He has lots of rocks to climb and slate to eat off of, unfortunately he won't be able to get outside for a few months until the weather improves.

Just add another piece of slate or large rock to where he is now. Dont look to long and give him a while to settle in first.
