I don't think it's appropriate to carve your initials in any living species, but it's nice to see this turtle survive so long

Sad , but cool.
How bad must it be? I can only think it's like carving a tree bark, but ouch, the tree crys when you do that,poor tort.
Although sick me I wish they posted pictures.

I know, I can only imagine how painful it was, but he still survive! And it must not have gotten infected either.

Not the tracking method I would have used....however, very cool to k.ow that turtle has survived and thrived in the wild...hope they only took a pic and left the turtle on its way...
