Baby Box turtle

I want a baby . I live where Eastern box turtles are native. I don't know if I can have a baby eastern here for my children to watch grow or not. I'd love a 3 toed baby, I'm sure I can have those here. I'd like one who can be outside when it grows. It will live in the garden here which is secure.
