A big thanks to @Yvonne G for this idea!

Levi the leopard is 9 years old now. He spent his first few years in sunny SoCal then moved with us to the PNW a few years ago. He's always maintained his own beak through natural grazing. However, during the colder winters here in OR he can't always get out to graze on his own. So, I supplement his diet with Mazuri, lettuces and hand picked weeds on those days. Still good foods but without the tearing effort that keeps him trimmed.

Today I noticed a little bit of extra growth and wanted to trim it before it got too long. Levi's main goal in life is to ram me and break my ankles. He's very territorial of HIS yard. Hard to trim a beak when the tortoise in question won't leave you alone. All of sudden I had a flashback to a post from Yvonne, putting a sulcata on an over turned 5gal bucket for a beak trim. And wa-la! The answer to my problem. Granted I used a wood stump instead but it worked like a charm!
