Good evening everyone!

Cooler here today and it was actually to cool for Jacky to go out early. However she did get out to join the Red Admiral butterfly and the Jersey Tiger Moth. I've had my blood test and the result is due in a few days however the phlebotomist thought I was late because I didn't hear her call my name. She was very softly spoken so a deaf person wouldn't have heard her.

Did Zola get to go out at all Angie? I hope Richard hasn't been put off by that man and I'm sorry you have to use heating oil. I have to go now as the bus is due. Hope Edward's okay as they've been very quiet.

Goodnight

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

Zola had a lovely walk today, and met some very nice people - he allowed some to feed him, which made them very happy. I read in the Guardian that this is a very good year for butterflies, but we have had very few here in our garden.
I have to go for my yearly medical check-up soon, including a blood test. I would really like to talk to a doctor about my shakiness, etc,but it is so difficult to get to see one - I have never met my current doctor - I will try to arrange something once I've got my vision all sorted out !
It is still very hot here- I hope it's ok for you when you go away, and that you have a lovely time.
Lots of love from An gie and Zola xxxxxxx

Dear Natrah -Zola met some people today who had a little boy with them who clearly had major communication problems - he was very excited to see Zola, and made a sign with his hands. Richard asked the parents if that was a Makaton sign for tortoise, and they said it was - and were clearly pleased that Richard knew a bit about sign language (from years ago when he came to spend time with the children at the special school where I was teaching.) I think the little boy was really happy he was understood. We shall have to remember to use the sign in the future when the opportunity arises.

Good evening everyone!

We are still here and reading about Zola meeting a little boy who was mad about him. I can't wait to sample home grown veg on Friday but meanwhile I want to tell about yesterday it was quite a bit colder. Dickie and Zola have you felt like recently? I didn't feel like eating although I did spend some time outside. Today was much better and Natrah said that I ate like there was no tomorrow.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: By the way a mystery happened on Sunday in that Natrah had alerts for Cold Dark Room!!!

Dear Natrah -Zola and his dad had a long walk on the breakwater (where there was quite a cold wind) and then Zola and I had our special long stroke later - we still sit in our same chair, even though there is no fire to sit beside (just a lava lamp) Zola was obviously really tired, and happily got himself in his special stroking position on my chest. He put his head up to touch my face briefly ,to show he was ready, and off we went ! He really does love it, and I find myself shedding a few tears, because he is so loving and trusting, and I feel honoured by his appreciation.
It seems to be getting cooler here now in general - there have been fires on Dartmoor, but nothing like that here, thank goodness.
Love to you, Jacky and all from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

This is the third time I’ve done a reply as it keeps disappearing! I don’t always get alerts as I’ve said before.
It’s still pretty warm here & still no rain. It is cooler at night though which is better for sleeping.
Dickie seems to be going into pre hibernation mode already. She isn’t eating much at all however she is alert & active just not interested in much food. She went over to checkout the large tortoise ornament today just to make sure it wasn’t real! I lifted her up to it so she could sniff it & she was being really thorough. Once satisfied she zoomed off elsewhere!
Hope you’re looking forward to your holiday & that you have a very enjoyable time, Jacky too. At least you know she will be ok with your friend.
