RIP Daisy

Good evening everyone!
I don't know if anyone here believes in visitations from those that have passed over but I believe I saw my grandmother's Red Admiral butterfly today. It landed on the porch and then in the pet carrier. I believe nana was paying Jacky and I a visit and trying to tell me that Daisy was with them.

Yes, that part never goes away, I think especially with tortoises. Probably most keepers believe that their tortoise is going to outlive him/her. When it doesn't go that way, there's a feeling of wrongness...it just wasn't supposed to be like that! And all that does is add more stress over the loss of our pet.

Over the last few years Jacky and Daisy have seen my through caring for dad with Alzheimer's, dad's death, losing my home and other things and sometimes feel that Daisy should still be here. She was such a character 💔🐢!

At precisely 11.00 am last year I went to collect you from the animal hospital and receive that awful diagnosis. I couldn't believe you had TB and the vet who was brilliant (and who you shoved a couple of times) was close to tears. He couldn't get you to eat except by tube by I got you home and you started eating dandelions. You carried on eating until you decided to stop. You were more comfortable at home with Jacky and I. We will be thinking of you and the 17th November.
