Strawberries! Strawberries!

I am so glad you are safely back, and Zola will be very pleased about the strawberries. He is out for a walk by the sea at the moment, with his dad. It was rainy and grey this morning, but the sun is out now -often Zola meets old friends when he is out, and has a bit of a chat with them, which is rather nice .
I hope , dear Jacky, you will be extra kind to Daisy after her ordeal - and kind to poor MaNaAk, having to clear up your mess - whatever you did, you should really have cleared it up yourself , before she came home !!!

Good morning everyone,

Just a quick update on Daisy I phoned the vet and a few results are in but not the final result. I would rather wait until the final result is in unless the vet calls me to discuss the results at the moment. If I call the vet again I would rather not call them on Thursday as that is my birthday. However I am pleased that Daisy is on medication and I didn't leave her in London not only would the fees have been astronomical but if she can be treated with her current medication it is better. She does not travel well and starts to relieve herself within minutes of leaving the house.

What does everyone think of me giving Daisy a drink of water through a syringe. The vet gave me five for her medicine.

The vet has phoned back to tell me the results so far and said that all they can find is inflammation. They are investigating why she keeps getting inflammation of the joints but then they did diagnose Daisy with arthritis and being familiar with this condition myself I am guessing that this is why her joints are inflamed.

I would worry about Daisy aspirating the water. When My Gigantor (Hermann's) had stoped eating & the vet was tube feednig I wanted to be taught how to do It myself, and the Vet refused, because they did not want me doing incorrectly and have the food going down into his lungs. Not saying you can't do it, I myself would just be worried...

Good afternoon everyone,

The vet rang to say that he had an email from the specialists to say that they would like to perform a biopsy on Daisy's kidneys and spay her as well but he is wary of doing this because of her age and I'm wary of doing this because it's sometime since her scan. Anyway I am pleased that I've got a good vet who wants to look at her first so she has an appointment on Thursday at 10.15 am. It's her 80th birthday today and I'm satisfied that I'm doing all I can for her.
