Hello everyone,
I am curious about what are the best fruits to give sulcata torts? I have yet to give Wilbur any fruits and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks,
Laramie

its best NOT to feed fruit.. but many of us cheat and do feed a little. Watermelon and strawberries.. but it should be done rarely, and in small quantites.

Laura is right. None is the best answer. If an adult eats a strawberry or a grape once in a while, it won't hurt them, but its just not something that should be fed in any quantity.

Hi Tom,
What about giving a grape or strawberry to Wilbur? amd when it comes to stawberries, can they eat the seeds?

Yes they can eat the seeds. If you fed Wilbur a whole strawberry or grape, it would just about fill his little stomach. Thats not so good. I'm not saying he will instantly drop dead if he takes one bite of fruit, its just that all that sugar in a concentrated package (fruit) is not good for them according to everything we know. Its also taking up space from the good things that he ought to be eating. Best to just skip it. One of my adults has the capacity to eat 10 heads of romaine at one sitting. So one strawberry or one grape won't even register. Totally different story with babies.
