I buy my fixtures from Home Depot. They have a ceramic base, an 11" dome, and a heavy duty cord for about $12. I can't remember what wattage the are rated for, but its at least 250 if not 600.

I second this. Greatest advice I ever got was to stop buying all my tort needs at the petstore and start buying them from Lowes, Home Depot or Wal-Mart. Almost everything you buy at these stores is WAY better suited for use with turtles and tortoises than the actual stuff made for them and sold for 10x the price.
