Box Turtle “Winter” Coup

Can I keep a box turtle in an enclosed chicken coup this winter with a heating lamp? I worry rats will eat her if she has free range to burrow.

Yvonne lives in CA, not sure if your two winters are close in temps, but I think her way would work for you.
You can keep her up if you don't feel comfortable brumating her this year.
Yvonne I believe puts her Boxies in a shed and piles it with leaves and such.
Give her time to get the alert I sent her and she can fill you in.
