Hi, I have an associate who inherited a Box turtle… she shared photos with me today and there are some areas where his care needs improvement. I mentioned a beak trim to her and she’s interested but does not know of any resources in her area. Anyone experienced in beak trims willing to help? I can pass on vet recommendations but I feel she’s more likely to work directly with a person, pet store or rescue. Any members or leads within an hour of her?

Thanks!

I'm more concerned that the poor critter is so desperate for water to sit in that its perched on that ridiculously small little bowl. Please tell us she at least soaks it every day. Does it have anywhere it can get into to self-soak?

that’s his food bowl. his chin is resting on his “pool” which has access points out of frame. again, there are lots of areas for improvement and i shared my thoughts and suggestions with her over the phone… but the beak trim is one that she can’t fix on her own so i thought i’d ask.
