It's so cool watching them in the wild / backyard lol. I live in Jacksonville, Fl and I just recently posted a thread with pics of a wild female Florida box turtle that laid eggs right next to my back deck and about 6 inches from the foundation bricks of the house!

I, too, live in North Florida, and can tell you that box turtles are abundant where we live on the gulf coast. Box turtles are so common here, in fact, that a lot of folks have them living in their yards. I was really surprised by this when we first moved here, and I think it's great that so many people in North Florida are getting to learn about and appreciate turtles and tortoises in this way.
