I don't have Redfoots. BUT when I compare that photo to the males that I've seen...it looks female.
I wonder if my assumption is correct :D we will both be waiting to find out ;)

It's got a pretty small tail, but I always have a hard time with RF tortoises.

If it's a girl, what do I need to do to prepare for her to lay non-fertile eggs?

Just keep the temperatures and humidity right and she'll do the rest . Make sure she has plenty of dirt or substrate to dig in . But some say they may not lay with out a male . I've seen snakes lay with no male and some lizards . But it is a female and they will lay . Some say they will just drop there eggs on the ground without digging if they 're no good . I have a big female and she has not dropped any eggs yet we'll see only time will tell .
