Hi I have this cactus in my yard, I do not know the type, I was wondering if it is good to eat for my torts?

Sorry, I have posted in the wrong forum, it was meant for the diet page, but I do not know or probably can move it.

Anyway is the barb edible?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. I don't know if they'll eat it of their own accord, but they may if you cut it up for them.

Hi Fabio:

Its actually an epiphyllum or orchid cactus. It is edible.

I think Yvonne is correct, I have a couple in pot's and will use it for food when it gets big enough..

was about to say it looks like a orchid cactus,i cant tell you if its good or bad but personally id prolly let em snack on a peice to see how it goes start oout little or jus one tort if your uncomfortable about it.
