Hi everyone. I'm a new user and this is my first post.

i have 2 baby geochelone sulchata tortoises.
1 of them looks healthy and its quite active, but another one's abdominal is crack, and its not really eating sometimes and seldom move when i bring them out for walks.

Please advice :)

Could you post a picture of both tortoises, and a detailed picture of the crack, along with your enclosure pics and temperatures?

What "crack" are you seeing? The crease on the lower right?

And what are your temperatures?

Are you soaking? Has he started eating since you originally posted this thread? His arms and legs so look a little skinny to me.

That's not a crack. It is a crease it could be the reason he's not doi g that good, or there could be a whole other reason. Check out Toms threads below on raising sulcatas. The leopard one will also pertain. He does look skinny. You might want to try baby food soaks. Add puréed carrot baby food to warm water soaks. What are your temps, substrate, humidity, type of light bulbs you are using? Are they house together? How big is the other one compared to this one? We need lots more info.

You have two ways to reply. A "quick reply" which is the text only box at the bottom of this page. It is quick but doesn't allow you posting options such as posting pictures. Or you can post a "new reply" which will open a different page and give you the full range of posting options(such as picture posting)
