Does my tortoise need a night lamp??

I know there is lots of different answers to this but I'm needing help.
Will my 2yo Russian tortoise benefit from a night heat lamp if my house never falls below 12°c during the night?
She is also in a open top tortoise table

I don't think your baby Russian should be allowed to get much below 75F degrees, so yes, I think you need some sort of night heat.

I asked a similar question this morning about a baby Greek in a tank with an overnight temp of 65f and I was told that was ok?

In my opinion, baby tortoises of any species should not be allowed to get below 75F degrees. It's a whole different story once the tortoise gets to be full grown. Full grown Russian tortoises are very cold hardy and do well with a night time temp. drop as stated in the very first post.
