Are there any live plants that any of you have been able to successfully keep alive in your torts enclosure? I have some fake plants, would be cool to be able to have any live plants in there. Any suggestions?
It all depends upon the tortoise inhabitants. I have two Vision cages both set up the exact way. I started out with a potted pothos in each, in the back left corner. Now, after about a year of being inhabited, the enclosure that contains two yearling desert tortoises still has a pothos, but the enclosure that I use for the different clutches of leopard hatchlings (about 4 have been through there) only contains a clay pot in that corner, with eaten off stems sticking up out of the pot. I don't think tortoises eat boston fern, and it's an ok plant for enclosures.
