What kind of tortoise do you have? I just started out with 2 leo's but I think tortoises do not like glass because they think they can go through it. Maybe put up a rim so they know that is where the wall is?

Is this for a new baby? What kind of tortoise? If it's a youngster, remove that pretty, but dangerous, water thingy. I guess they can flip and drown on that design. Some members have posted their deaths on TFO. Just use a terra cotta pot saucer, cheap, easy peasy. I use one for water and one for their food and one upside down for a little hill basking area under their light. : )

Too funny. We posted around the same time and I just saw you asked in the Greek section. Me: duh. Greeks are awesome! Baby? or adult?

What a little precious. You will not know the gender for a few years. The bark might be a bit much for baby. Can you get some coco coir? Or some members use peat moss with clean top soil 50/50 mix. The bark is kinda large for those little feeties.

Hi very cute tortoise. :) but I would suggest putting a layer of cardboard or tape on the glass so the baby guy knows that he can't walk through the glass. But otherwise cute baby and nice setup. Make sure to upgrade soon and spray down the enclosure a lot. He needs a lot of humidity or he'll get pyramiding. Hope this helped. -jack :D

Yeah I have paper around the walls so that's taken care of but I will be sure to spray it down a lot.

Think sphagnum moss, it is cheap, moist, and they love to nest in it softness .
