Well I am back on the forum, All my turtles/tortoises are doing great and my false map turtle survived his first hibernation in a chicago winter. I was wondering if there are any other species of turtles that would do good in the pond with my map, preferably one that will not destroy my koi and plants. So far my map turtle has not touched any of the fish or plants. 005.JPG

Common musk turtle would probably work. They stay small enough not to bother koi and should be winter hardy in the same area as a false map. I ould question the introduction of sliders or painted as they could be hard on plants and koi.

Oh, your pics make me miss having a pond.:( Very beautiful. Btw, I sure hope today's snow won't have an effect on your turtle. This stinking weather:(
