I went in to start our morning routine and she was dead. I've known for a few days that something was off, but she was eating and moving around her habitat. She even had a bite of food hanging out her mouth. I am wracking my brain trying to see where I could have done better. But I think I gave her a pretty good home.

Well, she lived quite a bit longer than she should have. She was not in the best condition when you took her in. The life she had with you was a good one.

Ahhhh Maggie....it is so heavy to carry the sadness for the loss of a soul you share so much of your day with, one that you try to offer your own will to ride on --hoping they can hold on until their health comes round and can stand on their own again...Maggie I am truly sorry for your loss and I know Nat felt your hope and tried as well...rest in peace little one...
