is it ok for my tort to eat a little bit of food then have a stroll and then repeat this process?

Sounds like normal behavior to me. My tortoise will have a snack and go back to basking 3-4 times a day. I'm a weirdo so I log times and how much he has eaten as well as whether or not he's drank any water. Just keep food and water readily available at all times

Mine does that constantly. It'll take a few bites, patrol the enclosure perimeter, and return to eating. He usually has his bowl polished off within an hour or two. Not even sure where he fits it all.

Yes just the one they are in different enclosures and my other one sits down to eat until she's done
