After much tweaking, we finally have our tort table up and running and Rake and Ruin have permanently moved in this weekend. We were testing the temps for a couple days and put them in there about an hour at a time for the last couple days for "playtime" so they could explore and get used to it. They've definitely been interested in the set up and I see them out a couple times a day, whereas in the temporary tank they only came out once or twice max.

I'm hoping it lasts me two years or so...though I might be optimistic here.

They grow fast . But you got a killer set up that you can keep using for more babies.

Ha! Thanks all. I think if I got more pets my husband would divorce me. At least as long as we're living in an apartment. Once I get more space...who knows.

These are the plans we drew up to keep ourselves on track. We ended up extending the height to 14 inches and the length to 47 or 48. It's plywood and plexi, lined with shower curtain and sealed to protect the wood. The hide has a hole cut in for the CHE and the opposite side has a screen for the heat lamp and fogger (about 10 inches long). We bought those cheap interlocking plywood pieces for the hide and bottom, and just regular 2x 2 and 2x4 for the rest. Also, plexi was attached to the top and sides so the torts could be seen.
