It went from cold to very warm in a hurry here in Chicago and I was able to take my Redfoot outside for the first time. We are also in our new house in the suburbs now on a 39,000 sq ft lot, which has a lot of promise for our Charlie's future!
We are really excited for this summer because the property is loaded with tortoise goodies - Lilac, Honeysuckle, Hosta, Grapevines, Wild strawberries, Jack by the hedge, Dandelion of course. There are also a bunch of fruit trees- apple, pear, sour cherry and crabapple.
But, of course there is some work to be done, the yard is pretty heavily over run with creeping charlie (all the purple flowers in the pic) and some other weeds and trees that Ive yet to identify.
