What's the gender & age

Age is virtually impossible to guess. As for sex, I would prefer the pic to not be THAT close as it makes it a little harder to tell...but to me it looks like a male.

Yeah, male. Females have little bitty tails. I'm not so sure about the hook on the end. I've never noticed the hook on my females' tails.
