I'm gearing up for a new garden. Gonna do it next weekend.

Can Ralph have:

Chrysanthemums
Daffodils
Crocus
Scillia
Tulips
Pansies
lavender
zinnia
poppy
morning glory
impatiens

Peas
Turnips
beets
swiss chard

And on the same note, can I use organic fertilizer on my lawn....the lawn that Ralph roams and munches on? If so, is there any time frame after I apply it that he can't go on it?

Peas are a no. Turnip greens are good. Beet greens are good in limited amounts. Swiss chard is ok in very limited amounts. I need backup on the flowers but I think all are ok, although he may not like any of them. Do you want ideas for other good things to plant for Ralph? None of those would be good for a huge part of his diet except for the turnip greens (flowers are great but a tort can't live only on flowers). Do you have a grazing area for him? What does he usually eat? Are you going to fence off the garden so he doesn't destroy it?

What kind of organic fertilizer? You mean some type that has manure or whatever in it? That's fine. Should be ok right away. It's chemical fertilizers you want to wait about 6 months.
