What kind of substrate do y'all use? Right now my Greek tort is on a mix of potting soil (organic) and stagnum moss, but it's really dusty is there anything better?

I'm using bark mulch/peat moss mixtures, half the enclosure moist, the other half bone dry, then some sphagnum scattered around. He digs his brains out in the dry area and sleeps under a bush in the moist area.

I refuse to use coco coir, I hate the smell, the staining, and I don't recall coconut trees being indigenous to Jordan (mine is a Jordanian Greek). [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Seriously, the above mixture o got super cheap in bulk at farm and garden store.

I personally use top soil and bark mixture... well they end up getting mix on their own with the diggings.... lol... top soil.... UNDER $5 US DOLLARS! lol... a bag of no chemical barks from home improvement stores also under $5! why use those reptile barks they sell in pet stores when you can get them so much cheaper! AND IN BULKS!
