Quick Question, does anybody know if keeping a green tree frog is a good idea with my redfoot in a 90 gallon aquarium. they require the same exact housing and i would like to get the frog because i think hell clean up some of the nats that have come along with my live plants. any thoughts?

Not recommended. Two different species with different types of immunities too different types of diseases, parasites, etc.
Oh, and always the possibility the tortoise could get the frog and eat it.

For the reasons listed above, plus possible stressing of each other, no, I wouldn't risk it.

The reason I'd want the frogs is to catch some of te flies but I won't try it if that's what you think

I could see a Redfoot eating a slow frog! I can also visualize the Redfoot eating the frog poop.
Getting rid of gnats would be a benefit, but not your answer.
Frogs are also a big waste producer.
A piece of "fly paper" hung up and out of your way would be better. Or find the source of the gnats and get rid of it. I never encounter them.
