growing seeds

i have an area with burmuda grass can i grow seeds on top of the grass or do i need to bury the ssed under the grass? Any help will be appreciated thanks.

You need to till the soil and sprinkle it.

Some things may grow. Also depends on the thickness of the grass. But you'll definitely get a higher germination rate if you clear the area first
