Some people claims it works well, I view it as something that won't help but won't harm, sort of a zero effect.

I use it every 2-3 weeks and it seems to keep my torts shell very shiney and healthy looking, iv seen alot of peoples torts that dont use it and it almost seems they have flakey dry spots even when spraying with water several times a day. it seems to show up more on sulcatas dark new growth. I will continue to use it as my tort is 2 years old/ 8 inches and i still have half the tub left. for 4 dollars a tub, and last 2 years so far, its a no brainer for me. --also i forgot to add I use a soft tooth brush to apply it and scrub it in, then take a paper towl and polish the excess off. i usually do this after a nice warm soak.

Indefinite health benefits, some aesthetic benefits, and a very low cost (if you have a small number and/or younger animals). I use it, but it is definitely not a requirement.

Just don't put a whole lot on and just let it sit. It should be pretty much gone overnight. If it isn't, just wipe it off before the next daily soak. Use it once or twice a week at most.

I think I read concern over them getting overheated with any oil/lotion etc on.
