Hello from me and my first tortoise!
We are in the UK and I have a question about heat!
The light I have is both UVB and heat in one, so when I turn the light off at night, the heat goes too...
Is this okay or should I buy a separate heat light for night time?
By the time it's bed time, my tortoise has already hidden itself away from the light and heat, so should I assume that it's warm enough through the night?

Thank you!

Welcome to the Forum!

The same thing happens when the sun goes down. Your tortoise can live with a little bit of a drop in temp at night time. If your house gets much below 70F though, you might want to invest in a CHE for night time (ceramic heat emitter)

Thanks guys! I'm going to have to take note of the temperature at night then, especially as it's getting closer to winter :) thanks again!
