I'm adopting two 7 year old hermanns next week, one male the other female.
Can anyone help with posting a feeding schedule or when and what they feed there torts?
Thanks

Hi congrats on the tortoises! I have the western hermanns, I feed mine on weeds, like dandelions, ox tongue, chick weed, clover, anything I can find that's safe to eat and they love. Also I don't know if there is a list on here, if not I use The Tortoise Table and they give a list of weeds and flowers. Mine like pansys. But flowers can be hit and miss, but one of my girls are fussy eaters. Sadly in the winter, I try and grow weeds, but I do use some kitchen food, curle kale, mix lettuce bags, I like the ones you can grow yourself, basically anything that taste horriae lol. Also I give mine a tiny piece of cucumber. Great for keeping water in take up. Pepper and tomato. And one last thing I feed mine is the pelets you need to soak. Iv got dandelion ones, they love dandelions! Oh sorry I also put a dandelion hay in the pen as well, very hit or miss though. Hope this helps!
