how old is my tortoise?

i just have bought a tortoise that is one month old but he is big and i do not know how old it is pls help me

sorry there is a mistake .easily asking how can you know how old is a tortoise
and i want to know how can you know which is a male which is a female ??????

That's a RES - red ear slider you got there for this sp a longer tail , longer front limb nails is the male !

Can you post a close up of it's tail part from the underside for us to help you sex it better .

It's almost impossible to tell the age of any turtle or tortoise as they all grow at different rates depending on how they are kept. You can only go on a 'best guess' based on its size (shell length) when you bought it.

Telling males from females is only accurate as they approach sexual maturity around 5-10 years.
