how to take care

Hello every one, i had Libyan Spur-thigh tortoise, Testudo graeca cyrenaica .
I m from egypt, the problem is we dont have any vet for reptiles
So any one could help for:
1-how to take care of mu tortoise
2-Do i need to build a house for her, or just i let let her free in my home
3-my tortoise is male, do i need to get a female for him?

The answer to Question 1 is too extensive to be answered in only one post, but there's a lot of good info on the Greek Tortoise forum, in the Species Specific / Mediterranean (genus Testudo) / Greek tortoises part of this site...lots of helpful folks here, too!

The answer to Question 2 is that many folks do allow their tortoise free run of their home (my 1st tortoise did, but I was single back then ), but you must make sure that there's nothing that it can get access to that'll harm your pet...so, many prefer an enclosure of some sort.

The answer to Question 3 is "no, you don't have to", unless you want to breed him.
