Sunday is supposed to be in the 80s and the over night temps in the 50s so It's time to move into the new outdoor pen! It's had enough time to grow and the over night temps are finally good and I will be home all day to watch them explore, so perfect timing for me haha.
I plan on taking them in at night for the first week, but there are a few places that I dare not stick my arm in plus I'm not sure i could reach all the way back if I wanted anyway. So just in case I have waited until overnights are good.

The only things left are to install locks on the lid and put up sight barriers to deter climbing and escape attempts.
A few questions I have, I have been watering the pen 2-3x a day, should I continue to do so? Or should I cut back? I have also been using the shower setting on my garden wand, should I switch to the mist setting if they are in there? Or can I stay using shower? Or do I have to take them out first?

No need to mist, they will hang out under plants or burrow to stay moist. They come from a drier climate so you don't want the area wet.

You can water part of the weeds if you are using them for food.
What about creating a small gravel area, with some rocks, for basking?
Nice looking hides!
How exciting that you can keep them outside 23/7 where they love to be! It is the same here now!

It is for food so I'm going to keep watering but I'll cut back and make sure its not too wet, That is until the weeds are mostly eaten. I have slate inside their indoor pen that I'm bringing out with them to put in the spots with nothing growing, plus the top of hides are stone so they can bask on them too.

I water my pen every morning with the hose shower setting you are talking about. It doesn't bother my Russians.
Then again, they are along the enclosure edge basking in the morning sun and there are no plants right there so i don't water where they are.
Now, on hot days when I water again they love the shower mode and have no problem with me hosing them among the plants.

I'd add a few logs or big rocks. Sight barriers work great even for a single tort. It breaks up their view and gives them stuff to walk over and around.

It looks great though and all that food growth is wonderful!
