He's been in his new home 5 days now and is settling in fantastically!!! Makes me smile every morning when I see his little face and when he yawns, it's just the cutest!! I'm not sure on the gender of him as of yet, but I'm just saying he's a boy, and still will be even if he's a girl.

He is VERY cute! I just want to mention a little something about the water dish you are using, the sides look awfully high for that little guy. With the sides that high, there is a potential for him/her to flip while trying to get in/out of the water dish, causing the tortoise to drown. I suggest getting something that you can sink into the substrate to make it level for easy access, plant saucers work great for this and can be picked up pretty cheaply at most stores.

Thanks Laurie. This is what I was given from the guy who sold me him in the shop. I have now sunk it and built the substrate up around it. He manages to get out of the dish ok now that the substrate is at the same level but I am looking to change the dish.
