So my IR gun arrived today! Wow!! They are 100% a must.
Been doing some temperature readings, just want to make sure they ok.
Basking spot: Anything from 99-104f on different parts of the slate under the lamp.
Around basking spot on bark which is where my baby spends most time: 88-89f
Middle of tank: 84f
Coolest part is inside the hide which is around 76
Tort Carapace 84f
Also is there a way to read the ambient with these things? Instead of using the IR do you just hold it in the tank?
