Is this normal?

My wife was looking at a leopard tortoise and really wants to get it. I think he looks weird and have never seen a leopard with a red? Head before. Is that something that happens, or is something wrong with the little guy. If something is wrong is it something we could fix with proper care? The lil guy, or girl, would be free. A guy locally got it a few months ago and its more work than he wants to do.

I agree with the substrate line of thinking. It looks good, and other than possible heartbreak, is there any reason not to take it in? Remember, you say, "your wife really wants it", and a "happy wife is a happy life!"
