Unfortunately, there are a lot of tortoises that age and size that look that bad. Also, unfortunately some people today still raise their torts the same way that one was probably raises. The bad, incorrect, outdated info out there, is still out there and in more then one place. Even some breeders and sellers still give out incorrect info. Just try looking for an older leopard tortoise for sale. All pyramided to some degree, even most of the younger under a year are pyramided.

Ohh i'm sorry! I just saw it and thought wow. I recently bought mine, he/she is apparently 2-3 years old and has pyramiding but not as bad as this. The one i bought i know was kept improper ie. eating lots of fruits and the substrate was hay.

Are you in Hamilton then?

This is quite common up here unfortunatly.... And it isnt for a lack of education either and that gets me angry....
One of the worst pyramided redfoots i have i bought from a member of my own local reptile society...... Lazyness hurts
