LOL I liked the pigs it normal. But yes they do sleep a lot. Perfectly normal as long as everything else is right. Eating, pooping, temps etc.

My hatchling poops every single day in the soaking water. And poops a lot. Then it sits in its food dish and eats for like 1/2 hour.

Are you soaking yours daily?

My leopard poops every other day, always, so far in his soak. He is now 19 months and still poops every other day. Everything sounds normal to me. If you haven't yet though, check out the threads at the bottom of my post. They are all great for leopards and raising them smooth.

I'm just curious...

When do you soak? Immediately after it wakes up or a few minutes after?

The only time mine didn't poop in the soaking water is when I turned the lights on and waited for about an hour. I think it may have pooped during that time. It's hard to tell in my enclosure with all the sphagnum laying around. Every other time, when I put it in the water, it almost immediately poops like clockwork.

Depends.

Like was said, if he is eating, pooping, and otherwise behaving normally there doesn't seem to be any cause for alarm.

But, if you never see him being active by searching for food or just wondering around curiously there MAY be a problem.

Ok, i do see him grazing and looking for food from time to time and exploring, i was just thinking that he sleeps A LOT lol, and he looks and acts healthy as far as the untrained eye "me" can tell :)
